SEA WATER CUP

Objects converse in silence. An empty plate becomes a surface of anticipation, a promise of gestures yet to come. Nearby, a cup holds a pomegranate, the fruit displaced from its function, suspended between drink and offering. A seashell, intrudes into the domestic space and unsettles the obviousness of use. A wall of flowers blurs the line between nature and ornament, while a cactus contained and prickly embodies a quiet form of resistance. Each image isolates, selects, and insists: by paying attention to these ordinary presences, the series invites us to reactivate their meaning and to renew an intimate bond with the things that surround us.. Outside the frame, the Atlantic is present by absence. Shot in November 2025 in an apartment facing the ocean in Costa da Caparica, the images slow time and attention, inviting a renewed reading of everyday forms shaped by place, season, and light.
